Your PSA level is moderately elevated. More than half of men with a PSA level of 10 or higher will be diagnosed with prostate cancer on a biopsy.
However, not all men with an elevated PSA level have prostate cancer. Instead, the PSA level may rise for another reason, such as:

- Harnbeschwerden wie Brennen beim Wasserlassen, Tröpfeln, Zögern oder Schmerzen in der Leistengegend
- Prostata- oder Blasenoperation
- ein Blasenkatheter zum Ableiten des Urins im Krankenhaus oder bei kleineren Operationen
- Trauma in der Leiste, zum Beispiel ein schwerer Auto- oder Industrieunfall.
