To maintain your healthy diet, you need to make time for conscious eating. They would also need time to unwind after a hard day at work or doing housework. Also, set aside half an hour a day to do your exercises.
How can you achieve all of these goals?
1. As a mother and housewife, delegate your housework. This will give you time to take care of yourself. You can relax, do your exercises and eat mindfully. For example, your daughter can take over vacuuming and dusting. Your husband can go shopping or shop online. If you have a dog, YOU take him for a walk.
2. Let your family know that you are currently eating healthy. Ask them to support you whenever they can. Also let me know when you will do your exercise or meditation. Schedule your workout into your daily household chores. Before you go for your daily jog, ask your family if any of them would like to come along. Training together is more motivating and encouraging. It's also more fun to wind up.
3. When it comes to family dining, you don't have to completely separate your meals. You can prepare meals that complement each other. Let's say your husband and children are going to eat roast beef with fried potatoes and vegetables. And you plan to eat lean steamed chicken with vegetables. Cook the same vegetables you cook for your family for yourself. And also offer the chicken you eat to your family. They might well start eating your healthy meals after a while.
4. The temptation to eat your family's sweets is the hardest reason to stay on track with your healthy diet. I learned this from my own experience. My boyfriend likes to eat donuts and white bread. But I can't eat sugar or wheat. It's difficult to resist the donuts and white bread. But I found an affirmation that I say to myself every morning when I get up. The affirmation is: “I nourish my body only with healthy food.” I wrote this confirmation down on post-it notes. You can stick the affirmation on a bulletin board, the refrigerator, the bedroom mirror and the bathroom mirror, as well as the dashboard in your car. And if you really want to overcome your unhealthy eating habits, stick a post-it note on your work computer too.
I hope this article has given you some helpful pointers on how to stick to your healthy diet. And I wish you much success in overcoming these unhealthy and sudden cravings for sweets and other unhealthy foods.
