Lower Austria's hospitals: Successful apprentice training for the future!
The Lower Austrian state clinics have taken an important initiative in recent years to ensure that there is no shortage of young talent in the healthcare industry. Instead of relying exclusively on external training providers, the clinics actively train their own employees. This enables young people to receive a solid education and at the same time find a job within these institutions.
An outstanding example of this training path is Julia Woltron from Neunkirchen. After three years of hard work, the young woman completed her apprenticeship as an administrative assistant at the Gesundheit Thermenregion with great success. According to managing director Silvia Bodi, Julia made a positive impression through her remarkable achievements in the course. “She has done an excellent job over the past three years,” says Bodi, praising the graduate.
The different training occupations
The state clinics offer a wide range of training occupations, ranging from medical to technical professions. In the Wiener Neustadt region, pharmaceutical-commercial assistants, operational logistics specialists and culinary trainees, among others, are trained. The need for well-trained chefs is high, as nine apprentices are currently being trained there alone, including four women and five men. In Neunkirchen, for example, there are two apprenticeships available for administrative assistants and one for electrical engineers, while two cooks are also in training.
What is also exciting is that training to become an electrical and communications engineer has so far remained virtually unnoticed. Only one apprentice is currently being trained in this category. With this commitment, the clinics show that they are not only responding to the current needs of the healthcare market, but are also thinking ahead. This means that future challenges will be better met, as these jobs will have to be continually filled again.
According to an internal evaluation, the state clinics took on more apprentices in training last year than ever before. This decision to train yourself seems to be a smart move to ensure the quality of future employees.
The source of this information about current training numbers and structures can be found in an article published on the Internet: www.meinkreis.at. This confirms the positive developments in the various clinics and highlights the high quality of training.
The initiative for training in the state hospitals not only shows a commitment to the future of healthcare in Austria, but also a clear vision for promoting young talent in an important area. In times when qualified specialists are urgently needed, the clinics actively shape the career opportunities of young people and at the same time contribute to ensuring a high quality of care.
