What is Dramamine for Children?

Dramamine for children can cause serious side effects. Call your doctor immediately if you have:

severe drowsiness;
-
wheezing, difficulty breathing, severe or worsening cough;
-
blurred vision, eye pain or redness, seeing halos around lights; or
-
painful or difficult urination.
Less serious side effects may be more likely, or you may not have any at all.

Warnings
Follow all instructions on the label and packaging. Tell your doctor if you are taking other medicines or have any other medical conditions or allergies.
Before you take this medicine
You should not use Dramamine for Kids if you are allergic to it.
Ask a doctor or pharmacist if it is safe to use Dramamine for Kids if you have or have ever had:

an enlarged prostate or problems urinating;

breathing problems such as emphysema or chronic bronchitis;
-
Glaucoma; or
-
if you have recently taken alcohol, tranquilizers or sedatives.
The chewable tablet dimenhydrinate may contain phenylalanine. Before taking, tell your doctor if you have phenylketonuria (PKU).
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, ask a doctor before using this medicine.
Do not give this medicine to a child without medical advice.
How should I take Dramamine for children?
Use exactly as directed on the label or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use this medicine in larger quantities or more frequently than directed.
For best results, take Dramamine for Kids 30 to 60 minutes before traveling or before any activity that could cause motion sickness.
You must chew the chewable tablet before swallowing it.
Store at room temperature, protected from moisture and heat.
What happens if I miss a dose?
Dramamine for children is used when necessary. If you are following a dosing schedule, skip the missed dose. Do not use two doses at the same time.
What happens if I overdose?
Seek emergency medical attention or call the Poison Help hotline at 1-800-222-1222.
What should I avoid when taking Dramamine for children?
Avoid driving and dangerous activities until you know how Dramamine for Children affects you. Dizziness or drowsiness can lead to falls, accidents or serious injury.
Avoid alcohol. Drinking alcohol can increase certain side effects of dimenhydrinate.
What other drugs will affect Dramamine for Children?
Using Children's Dramamine with other medications that make you sleepy may worsen this effect. Consult your doctor before taking opioid medications, sleeping pills, muscle relaxants, sedatives, sedatives, or anti-anxiety or seizure medications.
Other medications may affect Dramamine for Kids, including prescription and over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and herbal products. Tell your doctor about all other medicines you are taking.
