This article talks about psoriatic arthritis fruit diet. According to a book about curing psoriasis, people suffering from psoriatic arthritis symptoms should avoid the nightshade family, which includes tomatoes, potatoes, peppers and eggplant.
Another diet that helps eliminate psoriasis is a diet high in fruit and vegetable juice. If you experience a flare-up of psoriasis symptoms, according to Dr. Pagano's book part of the healing process. According to a candida sufferer who also happens to have psoriasis, the fruit and vegetable diet she was consuming caused flare-ups of symptoms that got progressively worse and left her depressed.
The main concern with a diet high in fruit is that many people with candida have reactive hypoglycemia. Too much fruit can cause blood sugar to drop like a stone.
Additionally, most candida patients have problems with bloating, and eating too much fruit can also be very bloating.
Fruit is absolutely taboo on a Candida diet. The only ones that are strictly allowed are the berries and avocados, as they contain little fructose. Someone wrote a post where Candida only feeds on refined sugars, not natural ones (like the fructose in fruits). That's wrong. All yeasts feed on sugar of any kind - it makes NO difference whether it is a "natural" or "refined" sugar.
Avoid all simple sugars on a candida diet - this includes fructose from fruits. I would even limit your intake of starchy vegetables like winter squash, sweet potatoes, parsnips and carrots. Parsnips and carrots have a very high glycemic index, meaning they increase your insulin levels, which is not desirable when you have candida.
