The Power of Intention: The Shortest Path to Healing and Relieving Chronic Pain
Does it seem surprising that we can make great leaps in medicine and science, but have yet to make a dent in eliminating chronic, everyday health problems?
Finding the cure for the common cold seems like locating the lost city of Atlantis!
As a medical intuitive, clients come to me from all areas of the health spectrum: from serious chronic illnesses to weight issues and low energy. What surprised me is how many people have one thing in common: chronic pain.
It is disturbing to see how people have become so used to being in pain that it is an accepted constant in their lives. And instead of looking for a solution to get rid of it, they look for treatment options: medication, exercise, therapy, chiropractors and the like.
These options all have their place on the healing spectrum – yes, even medication (temporarily).
But what about getting rid of the pain forever? Have we become so accustomed to hearing “no” from doctors, other patients, our families, and the media that we assume that is the answer without bothering to ask the question?
For anyone who has experience with the goal setting, self-help, and personal development mindset - you know you're being told to "do it"! make an effort so that nothing is impossible.
But when it comes to your health, especially a condition called “chronic,” give up. You accept what you are told and the boundaries that are set for you. If pain management is the only option your doctor offers you, come to terms with its long-term presence in your life.
And that's all? Absolutely not.
The problem with accepting limitations and basing your recovery and healing on other people's experiences is that you close yourself off to what is actually possible. It's like limiting your food choices to the first paragraph of a menu that's 16 pages long.
So what is the first step, the most important, crucial step in eliminating and completely resolving a condition like chronic pain forever?
It means letting go of the belief that other people can define your boundaries.
That's it.
Relationships, family, career, fitness, health, healing, wellness, money - whatever it is, your boundaries are what you choose.
Do you even refuse to set boundaries for yourself? Get to the front of the class because now nothing is out of reach.
The clients I see have something else in common besides chronic pain – they are willing to take this step, they don’t accept “management.” They want answers, they are open (even if just a little) to the possibility of being without pain.
And with this specific intention we can find their answers and a blueprint for healing and ultimate relief of the pain is created.
