And now you're wondering what the foods you eat cause acne. Don't be sad because I'm going to tell you which foods to reduce or avoid to achieve that flawless skin.
Acne is a big problem, especially for teenagers. Am i right? Because at this stage, teenagers are very concerned about their physical appearance. Let me tell you this, nutrition is an important key to your health. Whatever you eat, it affects your body. So, what are the foods you need to avoid or reduce? They are as follows:
1. Salt
You are aware that too much salt is bad for your health, but the problem is that there are other foods rich in salt that you probably don't know about or that you simply ignore. Let me ask you. Do you eat processed foods? How about prepackaged foods? And I bet your answer is yes, then you are eating a large amount of salt, which by the way can irritate the skin and promote acne breakouts. Not only that, too much salt is bad for your health, especially your cardiovascular and circulatory systems, as it can lead to water retention and increased blood pressure.
So what are these foods rich in salt? They are as follows:

2. Artificial sweeteners
Artificial sweeteners contain chemicals that can irritate your skin or even react negatively. Thus, it causes acne breakout. So stick to your average table sugar – it can be brown or organic sugar.
3. Fatty foods
Excessive intake of fatty foods can increase sebum production to eliminate the excess fats. An increase in oil glands in the skin pores can lead to acne formation due to increased fat deposition. To prevent this, you need to eat less fat to avoid acne problems as well as health problems. It is very important to eat foods that contain high cholesterol or high density lipoprotein (HDL). The HDL reduces the amount of bad cholesterol, which is low-density lipoprotein (LDL).
Examples of HDL are as follows:
• Oat flour
• Foods rich in fiber
• Fish like tuna, salmon, sardines, mackerel (which are rich in omega-3 fatty acids which are good for your heart)
4. Caffeine
Caffeine is a stimulant. As a stimulant, it disrupts sleep patterns. Once it is disturbed, stress is created. Once there is stress in our body, our body compensates by changing hormone levels. Once hormone levels are elevated, one effect of this is acne breakouts.
Examples of foods containing caffeine are as follows:
• Coffee

• Cola
• Also chocolates
Foods that cause acne are already indicated above. The only thing you need to do to prevent such outbreaks is to reduce your intake of these foods or better avoid them. A lot of effort is required to achieve this clear skin. It involves taking care of your body, especially the foods you eat. Because what you eat really affects the functionality of your body.
