Spots, pimples, acne, breakouts, bumpy – uneven skin… it’s a nightmare for anyone at any age.
I used to suffer terribly from this, nothing worked for me... apart from a small number of products (face washes, scrubs, etc.) - but only temporarily.
One reason they don't work and why I don't use them anymore is because they drastically change the PH level on your skin and remove essential oils.
This makes your skin sore and chapped; it easy to damage.
After using them, your skin is left without natural oils and PH balance, and your skin tries to compensate by secreting more oils. In an attempt to bring her back into balance.
This means higher oil/grease levels on the face, which clogs pores and causes dirt to get trapped in them. This becomes sebum (the white substance that appears in spots) and contains bacteria that can spread, causing more spots to form.
Your skin needs something that won't strip away layers of skin or cause a major change in your natural oil levels or PH balance.
This is where black tea comes into play.
Natural compounds in black tea are excellent for your skin, soothing but harsh.
The caffeine content in tea is high, meaning it is a great source for you - especially your eyes.
The skin around your eyes is thin, and I mean paper-thin. This means things can easily be absorbed into the skin and deeper into the skin - which can be both bad and good!
The bad thing is that dirt or grease can easily get trapped here and stains can form. Not only that, but stress, lack of sleep, diet, skin care: all of these can lead to dark circles under your eyes (usually called “black bags”).
The good thing is that the caffeine in tea can help promote and force higher blood flow, meaning more blood returns to the eye and flushes out the darkness.
Tea is a natural astringent, meaning it dries out and tightens the skin. This is really important when it comes to spots, acne, pimples, etc.
This is because drying out the stain effectively removes it and tightening the skin closes the pores and prevents dirt or grease from entering them, which gets trapped and causes more stains.
The other compounds in black tea act as pacifiers, reducing and removing the blotchy/red spots that may appear on your skin. Sometimes these are bumps on the skin that are not spots, but are not flat.
Black tea is a great way to treat your spots as it works quickly and is used as part of your daily skin care routine, giving you cleaner, healthier and more radiant skin.
How to Apply Black Tea on Stains
You need:
- Ein Teebeutel
- Eine Tasse
- Heißes Wasser
- Kaltes Wasser
*OPTIONAL*
You can use the tea bag (or two) on your eyes after applying it to the areas. You can do this by placing it on your eyes and leaving it on for a good 15 to 30 minutes.
Do this every night and you will see a huge difference! The darkness will fade under your eyes.
