Have you ever wondered why there are so many different back acne treatments on the market... and why none of them actually work to get rid of the acne on your back for good?

I've wondered that... and I'm sure you must too.

So why do so many different products come onto the market year after year? Really, I feel like every time I turn on the TV I see a new "acne cure" that's supposed to save everyone from their red, embarrassing spots, and all I have to do is whip out my credit card.

There's a problem with the back acne treatment market...it doesn't cure acne. But why? It's not that we don't use enough miracle products. No, it's something else.

You know when you go to the doctors when you're sick and they prescribe something to combat the cause...can you imagine if they just gave you medication to combat the symptoms of the illness and leave the root of the problem alone? You would never get better, the problem would always be there.

That's kind of what happened to the acne market. A product is made so that when you have a breakout, you rush to the store or pick up the phone to buy it, treat the acne, and then buy something new a week later because it no longer works.

So what do you need to do to effectively treat back acne?

If your parents were anything like mine, they probably made you pull weeds as a child. If not, consider yourself lucky. I remember that if I didn't pull the weeds from the roots, they would come right back...

Acne is like a weed...if you don't treat it at the root, you'll have to deal with it again later.

So, if you are looking for an acne treatment that works, you need to find one that treats the acne from the inside of the body.

A few things you can do to combat your acne in the meantime are to eat healthier. I'm not saying become a health freak, just cut out the greasy, high fat foods. Not only will it help you have better and clearer looking skin, a healthy diet will give you more energy and not to mention a longer lifespan.

Wash your hair often. I know this sounds like crazy advice, but not all of us do it regularly... I'm looking at you. When we don't wash our hair, the oil and dirt from our hair tends to run down our neck, shoulders and back. This can lead to more acne. So do yourself a favor and take 2 minutes to wash yourself a little longer while you're in the shower.
