Skin diseases, hives and allergies
Let's start with a question. Do you know which is the largest organ in your body? Think about it for a bit...then I'll tell you. It's your skin; The epidermis, dermis and subcutaneous tissue all three layers form the largest organ in our body. Our skin is responsible for many different processes required to keep us safe and healthy. It is the primary defense mechanism between the inner workings of our wonderful body and the external, sometimes harsh, environment we live in every day.
Fluids can pass through our pores and hair follicles in two directions. We all know that we sweat when we exert ourselves physically. Conversely, when we come into contact with other airborne, waterborne or personally applied substances, we absorb whatever is contained in that external material. Studies have shown that the contents of everything we put on our skin, e.g. B. lotion, sunscreen, makeup, etc., is absorbed into our bloodstream within 20 minutes.
A diet regiment can be established for people with allergies to certain foods. The same applies to people who may be allergic to certain liquids. But what about those of us who have allergies to airborne particles? Or those of us who have hypersensitive skin. We take medication in the hope that we can build a defense. Or maybe we isolated certain details, like skin flakes, grasses, maybe a certain type of clothing material. Well, we can avoid some things on our own. But at the end of the day, we have to work, shop, play and generally live.
I have been taking a certain medication for about 10 years. Although it was mostly successful, I still had multiple trips to the emergency room with massive hives, dangerously low blood pressure, fainting spells, and occasional struggles with breathing problems. If you've experienced this, you know the feeling. If you haven't, trust me when I tell you, it's not something you want to go through.
Over the years, I have monitored my locations, exposures, seasons, times of day, and activities to learn more so that I can one day avoid these recurring and horrific events. One thing I never gave much thought to was soap and detergent. I'm not sure why, I just didn't until recently.
I started thinking about when I got most of my allergic reactions. For me it wasn't seasonal. But it was mainly during hot weather periods. Of course in the summer and during the fall winds in Santa Ana where I live, and sometimes we got an Indian summer, a really hot time in the middle of winter. Either way, I would be outside and very hot. I would start sweating, my shirt would get soaked, and then within half an hour I would begin a breakout of rashes and hives the likes of which I had never seen all day. Within the next hour I would pass out and wait for an ambulance to take me to the emergency room.
Well, about 6 months ago I was introduced to a new green technology for my home called Laundry Pure. It was explained to me that if I connected this device to my washing machine, I would no longer have to use detergent to get my clothes clean. A bold statement to say the least. I have used detergent to clean my clothes for over 50 years and I learned it from my parents who used it all their lives and they learned it from their parents...get the picture. I was a little suspicious at first, but the more I thought about it, the more I thought I had nothing to lose and if it worked, I had so much to gain. So I got one.
Let me share with you that I haven't felt this good in a long, long time. I started putting all the pieces of the allergy puzzle together and I believe I have found an actual solution to the problem. A real preventive measure for better health, not just something the doctor gives me to mask the symptoms. My skin no longer peels (eczema), I no longer get hives, and I haven't been to the hospital once since switching from laundry detergent to Laundry Pure.
I also experienced the most unexpected side effect. Since I no longer use detergent, I no longer need to buy detergent. I also stopped using and buying fabric softener. And after installing the device, I found that I no longer need to use hot water either. The savings were huge! The device pays for itself in the first 9 months. Not only am I becoming healthier, I'm saving money, I'm reducing my "carbon footprint" and I'm doing my part to clean the environment at the same time.
