For me that means the usual suspects like coffee. And also tomatoes and peppers, which belong to the nightshade family and contain large amounts of lectins that cause problems for people like me and maybe you too.

I woke up at 2:30 a.m. with the warning signs of heartburn. I started doing reduced breathing exercises, drank a glass of water and fell asleep again. No heartburn. Now everything was fine.

I have proven time and again with my own body that heartburn and GERD are caused by extremely low levels of carbon dioxide in the body. There are numerous studies that I will discuss in future articles that support this. When I started reduced breathing, I cured lifelong asthma and my heartburn disappeared. I stopped taking any medications except an inhaled nasal corticosteroid spray.

But I haven't made much progress with my breathing in the last year.

And there are three suspects here. If you've made decent progress but are hitting a brick wall, if you're still experiencing symptoms of one kind or another, then you'll want to read on. Because you need to look for possibilities whether you have an infection in your teeth, your intestines, or your tonsils. In this article, I'll explore by far the most common infections that impact your overall health, the ones in your gums.

You probably have gum disease that is affecting your health

Most of us have gum disease to one degree or another. Your gums may look a little swollen. Or you have bleeding when you brush your teeth. Or you don't have any of these symptoms.

If you visit the dentist regularly, your periodontal pockets may increase in depth over the years. Or you may have bone loss that shows up on X-rays over the years.

This is all caused by gum disease. And…

Gum disease causes general health problems

Gum disease is caused by anerobic bacteria that live in the gum pockets and produce toxins. The bacterial toxins migrate into the body and the bacteria themselves can enter the body through the gums.

The body must continually defend itself against this invasion of bacteria and toxins.

It is known that people with heart disease often have severe gum inflammation and that the toxins and bacteria sometimes travel to the heart. This is just the beginning of what gum disease does to us.

For these reasons, it is important for your health that you get rid of gum disease. I prefer non-surgical, non-invasive methods. And luckily I tested one and can recommend it.

Using the Albrite system to combat gum disease

I was a big fan of treating gum disease with the Albrite system. This is a simple syringe-like device that comes with a book. You mix a solution of, for example, salt water and diluted hydrogen peroxide and inject it directly into your gum pockets.

I did this for a while and it really helped.

Then I stopped.

I recently went to the dentist and he said my gums looked swollen. I've just gotten into the habit of getting my gum treatments done.

The hygienist said they had a new gum therapy. It's non-surgical. They each make a quarter of the mouth, let's say the bottom right. They perform a very thorough cleaning using ultrasound to blow away the bacterial films that cause infection. They do each quarter of the mouth at the same time and use different guidelines to determine when enough is enough.

The result was a dramatic improvement in the health of the people who went through it.

Chronic heartburn disappeared.

Skin problems that bothered the patient disappeared.

All sorts of higher energy levels and a better feeling of health.

I can go and do this. In the meantime, I'm going back on the Albrite treatment and will see if I can't get this infection under control.

Once you've cleared the infection, you can use a high-quality colloidal silver solution to blast into your gums with Albrite. This is gentler on your gums than the hydrogen peroxide salt water. And it is very effective because silver is quite bactericidal.

Some people need to use antibiotics with Albrite. In the book he explains how to open a tetracycline capsule and dissolve it in water and use it. I haven't done this as I don't have any serious infections, just chronic low level infections.

I hope that my gum problems will respond to consistent home treatment and my breathing progress will improve again.

And that I will never wake up with heartburn again.
