Reading great autism books will help your family get a head start in the fight against the disorder
Does he have autism or Asberger’s? This was just one of the questions we asked ourselves after our little one was initially diagnosed with “a disorder related to the decoding of certain mental processes.” Although we completely trusted Tony's caregivers and doctors, as parents we were desperate to understand exactly what was going on with our son as quickly as possible. Does he have autism or Asberger’s? This was just one of the questions we asked ourselves after our little one was initially diagnosed with “a disorder related to the decoding of certain mental processes.”
Although we completely trusted Tony's caregivers and doctors, as parents we were desperate to understand exactly what was going on with our son as quickly as possible. Waiting for a prognosis was killing us, so we decided to go our own way and find out as much as we could about both conditions as quickly as possible by reading well-researched, quality autism books.
It must be said that the Internet is one of the great wonders of the modern age, as anyone can easily download important information from trusted sources and use this newly learned skill almost immediately.
Learning about autism and Asberger's was enlightening for us as a family and the more we learned, the more we understood about the condition and the more we understood, the more active we became in dealing with the daily demands that the disorder demanded of us as we waited for the final medical analysis to be made.
For example, we quickly learned that the most pronounced symptom of autism is an extreme lack of understanding of communication and social skills, while the most noticeable aspect of Asbergers is usually not as pronounced as the child simply appearing shy and reserved. This had yet to be fully explained by our carers two months after the initial consultations.
There are many more examples of what we learned very quickly, simply through high quality reading Autism books This gave us a real head start in the fight against our sons' autism disorder.
