Hair loss in women: A natural remedy from homeopathy
The reasons why people lose their hair are varied, from nutritional to genetic to hormonal causes. For many reasons, the reasons are hormonal, in particular they are androgenetic: this means, in very simple terms, that a series of processes lead to an excess of DHT and an excessive sensitivity to DHT (dehydrotestosterone); This causes your hair follicle to become increasingly weak, which leads to increased hair loss.
Long ago it was believed that only men suffered from it, while women were strongly protected by their different hormonal composition. However, studies and increasing evidence have proven that women can also suffer from this type of condition. In women, other interrelated factors may be present, such as the abnormal functioning of the pituitary gland (even if only slightly) or some subtle imbalances between certain hormones. However, they all affect DHT production and DHT sensitivity, so the result (hair loss) is the same.
For this reason, this branch of alternative medicine offers very interesting answers to the problem of hair loss in women.
'Classically' one would rather prescribe constitutional remedies, namely those that address the entire set of symptoms and the person's 'constitution' - i.e. body structure, personality, genetic tendencies and even childhood traumas). However, modern approaches have allowed for the “creation” of remedies that address “individual” problems and focus on specific imbalances or “dysfunctions”; So, in the case of a woman who loses her hair, what is treated is what is strictly relevant to that condition from a “medical”, localized point of view and not from a “constitutional” point of view. However, the principles behind the prescribed remedies are the same.
The specific approach to treating this condition discussed here is the use of the Folliculinim/Estrogen combination:
This remedy, used in moderation and only during the first part of the menstrual cycle, treats hair loss in women suffering from hormonal imbalances or other similar diseases such as polycystic ovary syndrome (which causes hormonal imbalances). If you suffer from hirsutism (excessive body hair) and are losing your scalp hair at the same time, this remedy can also help.
There are several ways to take Folliculinim/estrogen (estrogen):
a) from the 1st day of your cycle, a 6c folliculinum/estrogen for a week or 14 days (never more than half of your entire cycle; so if you have a period every 22 days, you should not take this homeopathic remedy for more than 11 days and this should be the first half of your cycle).
b) In the first few days of your menstrual cycle (i.e. during your period or as soon as possible after your period), take this homeopathic remedy once (30c) and wait for the results, which should be almost immediate. Only repeat this if the results fade and make sure it is not during the second part of your monthly cycle.
Dosages vary and should vary depending on the patient's response and characteristics. The potencies of the remedy should be kept low.
Why should you only take Folliculinum/estrogen (estrogen) in the first half of your menstrual cycle? Because the hormonal composition changes dramatically from the first part to the second part, and the homeopathic treatment must reflect this. If you also suffer from hair loss in the second part of your menstrual cycle, other remedies should be taken (more on this later).
Can you take other medications while taking this medication? It is possible because this remedy is not a constitutional remedy. It is better to wait and see the results so that you can better understand how the body reacts to the remedy. However, it is not uncommon to alternate this remedy with (for example) Lycopodium or Calcarea Carbonica, although the potency should be equally low and their administration should not be more frequent than the original remedy (folliculinim/estrogen). For example, if you consider it appropriate or essential, you can take a dose of Lyc (30c or 6c, whichever is most appropriate in your case) a few days after taking Folliculinim/Estrogen.
It is important not to mix too many homeopathic remedies, so always use them sparingly.
