Learn the seven causes of hemorrhoids

The first question that arises in the minds of people with hemorrhoids is what are the causes of this condition. As most of us know, chronic constipation is one of the main reasons for this condition, also known as piles. But there are other reasons too and here are the seven causes of hemorrhoids:

1. Chronic constipation: It has been suggested that people with chronic constipation are at increased risk of the piles. It is therefore recommended that people with constipation problems receive appropriate treatment. If left untreated, chronic constipation can occur, leading to hemorrhoids.

2. Rectal pressure: When constant pressure is applied to the rectum, enlargement of the veins occurs, which in turn leads to piles.

3. Genetics: If either parent has this problem, there is a big chance that their children will also get it.

4. Age: Age also plays an important role. This is because the cells in the human body lose their suppleness as we age and this increases the likelihood of hemorrhoids.

5. Obesity: It has been found that people who are overweight are at a higher risk category for piles. As body weight increases, pressure increases in other parts of the body, including the rectum. To avoid this, people should eat healthy and exercise to avoid gaining weight.

6. Too much fiber in food: It is true that the high fiber content in food is essential for healthy bowel movements. However, if this exceeds the required limit, the likelihood of developing hemorrhoids increases. This condition can be avoided by drinking plenty of water so that the fiber content can pass through the excretory system easily.

7. Sitting for long hours: Nowadays, people are forced to sit together in front of the computer for several hours. These people have greater chances of getting piles because of the heat that comes from sitting together in the same position for several hours. For this reason, people with this type of work style are recommended to get up from their seats at least once an hour and eat healthy foods that can protect them from constipation. If possible, a padded seat can be used.

Once a person understands the causes of hemorrhoids, he should take appropriate measures to protect himself from this condition.
