Although it has not yet been officially declared the healthiest rice (considering the thousands of categories), it is certainly the most effective for the following reasons:-

1. Increases metabolism

Parboiled rice is a great source of vitamin B-9 or folate. Since our body relies on the specified vitamins and amino acids, the compound helps to increase the metabolic rate. Half a cup of cooked parboiled rice contains approximately 100 micrograms of folate, which is almost thirty percent of the daily required amount for both men and women.

2. Boosts oxygen levels

Converted rice is also an excellent source of iron. Half a cup of the grain contains about 1.4 milligrams of the element, which is about 20 percent of the daily amount required for both men and women. According to a study, iron helps our body sense the oxygen levels present in tissues and also distributes oxygen through our bloodstream.

3. Regulates the activities of the thyroid gland

The biggest benefit of cooked rice is that it provides us with selenium, a chemical element that helps regulate the thyroid gland by controlling the activity of thyroid hormones, thus leading to the prevention of chubbyness or being underweight. Half a cup of cooked parboiled rice contains approximately 7.3 micrograms of selenium radicals, which is nearly 15 percent of the daily required amount for men and women.

4. Prevents cardiovascular risks

Parboiled rice also contains niacin, or vitamin B3, which not only supports the body's metabolism but also helps cells carry out the necessary chemical reactions to convert fats, proteins and carbohydrates into energy, thus keeping cholesterol levels under control. Half a cup of parboiled rice contains approximately 1.8 micrograms of niacin, which is almost fifteen percent of the daily required amount for men and women.

So instead of believing in the semi-authentic fact that regular consumption of rice can make you obese, remember that consuming parboiled rice daily is beneficial for your body as it helps maintain good health. Converted rice can be purchased almost everywhere, although it is a bit expensive compared to white rice.
