The Omron HEM-790IT has 2 averaging systems integrated to ensure maximum accuracy.
TruRead Mode - This is an automatic mode that takes 3 readings at 1 minute intervals and displays the average (the cuff is deflated and re-inflated between readings).
Single Reading Mode – Displays the average of the last 3 readings (assuming they were taken within 10 minutes).
IntelliSense technology
IntelliSense is a technology developed by Omron to monitor blood pressure and inflate the cuff to the correct level, ensuring accurate readings with maximum cuff comfort. It will also deflate the cuff when the measurement is complete.
Comfit cuff
The Comfit cuff is another exclusive product from Omron blood pressure monitors. The cuff is pre-shaped and makes it easier to put on without assistance. The cuff has markings to show how to put it on correctly, making it hard to put it on incorrectly. It can be used by anyone with an arm circumference between 9 and 17 inches.
Display unit
The display unit has a large digital display with a slanted front panel that makes positioning and reading easier. The 3 main measurements displayed are systolic (measured when the heart is pumping), diastolic (when the heart is resting) and pulse.
Permanent storage of your measured values
The Omron HEM-790IT comes with a USB cable and Omron Health Management Software, so any measurements that need to be saved can be loaded onto your PC for permanent storage. The systolic, diastolic and pulse data loaded by the display unit can be displayed on your PC in graphical form, making it easy to see any trends in blood pressure or heart rate. If necessary, the data can be retrieved or printed in PDF or CSV format for distribution to the doctor.
The Omron HEM-790IT can be powered by the included power adapter or 4 x “AA” batteries (gives approximately 1400 measurements with a fresh set of alkaline batteries).
A practical storage bag is included in the delivery, which offers the display some protection when not in use.
