How to Block Pain - So easy you can do it in your sleep
I hope one day to be able to hypnotize people the same way I hypnotize myself. If I did that, it would add so much value to the world. For example, this morning I woke up from a leg cramp. This happens every now and then. It hurts every time. Is it the worst pain in the world? No, I felt worse. But it's worse than any pain I feel in a typical month. It's a difficult way to wake up.
The first wave of pain woke me up. A muscle in my calf locked, causing a sharp, burning pain throughout my system. In the past I've had to spend a few minutes coaxing the muscle to relax. This would reduce the pain to a throbbing pulse and leave my leg tender for the next day or so.
Bah. In comparison, I have superpowers.
After less than a second of pain and surprise frying my brain, I acted. I separated myself from the pain. It was instinctive.
I still felt the pain, just it wasn't uncomfortable. It was neutral - like a strange tingling sensation. My body relaxed and the muscle released.
How long was I awake before I hypnotized myself?
About half a second.
After getting up, I hypnotized myself again (I like to start the day with a clear, uplifted mind). And come back to work with enthusiasm. And again, to banish some premature nerves.
And again...
And again...
(You don't think I'm writing in a natural state of mind, do you? Why leave it to chance?)
Here's the thing: Once you've experienced something - whether it's a mood or a state of mind - you can experience it again. If you can imagine a state, you can embody it. Your subconscious doesn't know the difference between memories, daydreams and reality. If it exists in one, it can exist in the other.
Your inner mind can make you confident. It can block pain. All your memories, skills and ideas are within His reach.
Why aren't you always an indestructible, charismatic genius?
Because your subconscious doesn't know what you want.
Think about it – too much trust, for example, can get you into trouble. So it dials back your trust…unless you say otherwise.
This is why the mental arts are so powerful. Have you ever wondered why most high achievers use meditation? It's because it brings more of your unconscious - and all its powers - under conscious control.
Self-hypnosis does the same thing, only faster and better. You may struggle with meditation, but you'll find that self-hypnosis is fun, simple, and easy.
An important step is to set your intentions. Make it crystal clear in your mind. If you do this and nothing else, your subconscious will get the message. If you are sleeping or distracted, the problem you gave him will work.
With the right intentions, you can change your world.
