Boost cognitive fitness: strength training for a healthy brain

A recent study has shown that regular strength training can have positive effects on cognitive abilities. By including 18 studies, strength training was found to trigger various neurobiological processes and help promote brain health. The training also improves cognitive skills such as concentration, attention, memory and reaction.

Kieser Training AG plans to expand its offering to address new target groups. The company would like to make greater use of the synergies from therapy and training with additional physiotherapeutic offers, individual nutritional advice and a new app. The goal is to offer members a comprehensive range of health services and thus further advance the company.

An impressive project is being realized on Mount Everest, where a pop-up gym for the annual Mount Everest Marathon is being built at an altitude of 5,364 meters. The initiative is led by SPORTS ENGINEERING AND RECREATION ASIA Ltd. and the equipment manufacturer Core Health & Fitness. The studio aims to create optimal training conditions for extreme athletes and promote physical fitness.

The Dutch fitness chain Basic-Fit recorded positive numbers in the first quarter of 2024. With over four million members and sales growth of 16 percent to 284 million euros, the company is continuing its expansion course. The recently completed acquisition of the Spanish RSG Group Studios turned out to be successful. CEO Rene Moos expressed satisfaction with the results and gave an outlook on future growth and expansion plans in Europe.
