Inventia Life Science announces partnership with PhenoVista Biosciences to accelerate preclinical research using 3D cell models

July 14, 2021 - Inventia Life Science and PhenoVista Biosciences have entered into a strategic partnership with the installation of the 3D cell culture platform - RASTRUM™ - at PhenoVista's California site to optimize 3D cell biology research services. This addition to PhenoVista's instrument portfolio will help complement the company's existing expertise in high-content imaging and phenotypic assays by providing a means to create complex 3D cell models in high-throughput. This new collaborative effort aims to provide next-generation complex models using 3D cell cultures for PhenoVista Biosciences' current oncology and neurobiology-focused assay portfolio. The partnership, which originally grew out of an ongoing project with a major pharmaceutical company on two undisclosed goals, combines PhenoVista's extensive experience in assay development and imaging with Inventia's automated 3D cell culture platform to help address the major challenges the industry faces in routinely adopting 3D cell models - throughput and Reproducibility.

San Diego-based PhenoVista currently offers hundreds of different assays spanning a range of cell types and tailored to specific therapeutic areas and biological applications. The integration of the RASTRUM™ platform will significantly expand PhenoVista's existing assay capabilities and strengthen the company's core strengths in imaging and assay services.
