Some "male enhancement pills" sold online at retailers such as Amazon are being recalled because they are contaminated with an erectile dysfunction drug.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued four recalls covering five drugs in recent days.
Samples from each were found to be contaminated with Tadalafil, an FDA erectile dysfunction drug. However, the drug was not approved for over-the-counter use, prompting regulators to issue a recall.
The five medications include The Red Pill, Mac Daddy Red, Mac Daddy Purple, Red Mammoth and MegMan Performance Booster.
The drugs have since been removed from online retail sites such as Amazon, eBay and Walmart. It is unclear whether there will be further recalls.

Both Mac Daddy products manufactured by ABC Sales 1 are being recalled due to possible contamination
The FDA warns that a person who has diabetes, high blood pressure, or heart disease may be at risk if they unknowingly take tadalafil.
Many sufferers take blood pressure-lowering medication every day. Tadalafil lowers a person's blood pressure even further, which can be dangerous.
Erectile dysfunction medications such as Cialis, which contain tadalafil as an active ingredient, are not recommended for people suffering from these conditions.
The FDA reports that it became aware of the cross-contamination after being notified by an Amazon laboratory.
Amazon's testing came after the FDA issued a warning about possible contamination to online retailers selling the pills in December.
These types of medications claim to cause more blood to flow to the penis when a man is sexually aroused to increase the duration and strength of his erection.
Your Favorite Shop, a New Jersey-based company, voluntarily recalled The Red Pill after being notified of the contamination by the FDA.
The company has not reported any side effects associated with Tadalafil among users of its product.
ABC Sales 1, a New York-based company, produces the Mac Daddy product line, and the contamination is specific to the batch of pills that expires March 30, 2024 and has a batch number of either 1230004 or 1230005.
The company reports no knowledge of any adverse events related to the contamination, according to the FDA release.
Red Mammoth is manufactured by Celebrate Today, also a New York-based company. Packaging with batch number DK1027 is affected by the recall.
CBS News reports that a number to report adverse events to the company has been disconnected.

MegMan, made by Junp, was also included in the recent FDA recalls
A fourth New York company, Junp, produces MegMan, which has recalled medication with lot number 2010291.
The FDA has long cautioned against the use of these medications in general and does not offer this type of over-the-counter medication for use.
However, they may continue to be distributed as long as they do not contain drugs that the agency considers to pose a sufficient risk that they can only be distributed with a prescription.
“The FDA has identified an emerging trend that over-the-counter products, often marketed as dietary supplements, contain hidden active ingredients that could be harmful,” the agency said wrote in a statement Published in December.
“Consumers may unknowingly ingest products containing varying amounts of approved prescription drug ingredients, controlled substances, and untested and uninvestigated active pharmaceutical ingredients.
"These fraudulent products can harm you! Hidden ingredients are increasingly becoming a problem in products advertised for sexual enhancement."
