Fire brigade operations save tenants from worse things
A house fire in Bonn Alt-Godesberg kept the fire brigade and rescue services on tenterhooks in the evening. The incident occurred in a residential building where a room on the first floor was completely on fire and flames were coming out of a broken window. Fortunately, all residents were able to leave the building in time and uninjured.
Fighting the fire required the use of three crews to bring the fire under control. Although the source of the fire was located in the bedroom, the affected apartment is currently not habitable. The residents found temporary shelter with relatives while firefighters and volunteers brought the situation under control.
A total of around 25 emergency services from fire stations 3 and 2 as well as the volunteer fire brigades from Bad Godesberg were involved. The rescue service and the management service also provided support to prevent anything worse from happening.
Thanks to the quick intervention of the emergency services, something worse was prevented. The firefighting and evacuation went smoothly without anyone being injured. It shows once again how important the work of the fire brigade and rescue services is for the safety of citizens.
