John Alfred Tinniswood is currently the oldest living man in the world at an impressive 111 years and 223 days. This was officially confirmed by Guinness World Records after Juan Vicente Pérez passed away. Tinniswood, born on August 26, 1912 in Liverpool, survived two world wars and currently lives in a nursing home in Southport. He was married to his wife Blodwen for 44 years, who died in 1986. This marriage resulted in four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Tinniswood is described as a “big chatterbox” and shows remarkable independence. He can get out of bed without help, listens to the radio and manages his own finances. When asked how it feels to be the oldest man in the world, he replied: “No different”. He doesn't follow any special diet plan but enjoys fish and chips every Friday. He also doesn't smoke and rarely drinks alcohol.
