Before you take this medicine

How should I use eucalyptamine?

Use exactly as directed on the label or as prescribed by your doctor.

Do not take orally. Topical medicines should only be used on the skin.

Apply only to clean and dry skin. Avoid use on large areas of skin.

Do not apply to open wounds or skin with blisters, sunburn, windburn, or otherwise irritated skin.

Only certain forms of this medicine are intended for use in young children.Follow all instructions when using this medicine on a child.

Apply a thin layer of the medicine to the painful area and rub gently.

Place the skin patch on the painful area and press the edges firmly. Remove the patch and apply a new one as directed.

Do not cover treated skin with a bandage or heating pad.

Store at room temperature, protected from moisture, heat and direct sunlight.

What happens if I miss a dose?

What should I avoid when using Eucalyptamine?

Avoid getting eucalyptamine in your eyes. In case of contact, rinse with water. Also, avoid getting the medicine in your nose, mouth, rectum, or vagina.

Also, avoid getting the medicine on contact lenses, dentures, and other items that come into contact with sensitive areas of the body.

Avoid using other medications at the same treatment sites without medical advice.

What other drugs will affect eucalyptamine?

Medications applied to the skin are unlikely to be affected by other medications you are taking, but many medications can interact. Tell your doctor about all your current medications, including prescription and over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and herbal products.
