What is Mentholatum Fat Free Vaporizing?

When applied to the chest, inhaling the vapors of this product may provide temporary relief from cough caused by irritation of the throat or lungs.

When applied to other areas of the body, this product is used for temporary relief of minor muscle or joint pain.

Mentholatum fat-free vaping may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Before you take this medicine

Ask a doctor or pharmacist if it is safe to use Mentholatum Greaseless Vaporizing if you have:

• a cough with phlegm; or

• a cough caused by smoking, asthma or emphysema.

Do not use this medicine in children younger than 2 years.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, ask a doctor before using this medicine.

Avoid breastfeeding a baby while using this product on your breast.

How should I use Mentholatum Greaseless Vaporizing?

Use exactly as directed on the label or as prescribed by your doctor.

Do not take orally. Topical medicines should only be used on the skin. Do not apply to broken skin or open wounds.

This product may cause a slight cooling or burning sensation wherever it is applied. If this feeling is painful or causes severe discomfort, wash the treated skin area with soap and cold water.

Do not heat the product before use, otherwise burns may occur.

To relieve cough, apply a thick layer of this product to your chest and throat up to three times daily. Do not use in the nose or mouth. To make it easier to inhale fumes, keep treated areas uncovered or cover them only with loose clothing.

To relieve muscle or joint pain, apply this product to the affected area three to four times daily.

You can cover the treated skin areas with a warm, dry cloth. Applying heat may make the cooling or burning sensation worse. Do not place a tight bandage on the treated skin.

Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after 7 days or if you have a fever, rash, or headache.

Store at room temperature, protected from moisture and heat.

What happens if I miss a dose?

Because camphor, eucalyptus, and menthol are used as needed, there is no dosing schedule. Do not use the product more often than directed on the label.

What happens if I overdose?

An overdose of this product is not expected to be dangerous. Seek emergency medical attention or call the Poison Help hotline at 1-800-222-1222 if someone accidentally swallows the product.

What should I avoid when using Mentholatum Greaseless Vaporizing?

Do not put this product in your eyes.In case of contact, rinse with water.

What other drugs will affect Mentholatum fat-free vaporization?

Medications applied to the skin are unlikely to be affected by other medications you are taking, but many medications can interact. Tell your doctor about all your current medications, including prescription and over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and herbal products.
