Uses for Fluvirin Formula 2015-2016
There are many types of influenza viruses, but not all of them cause problems in a given year. Therefore, each year, before producing the flu vaccine, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the public health services of the United States and Canada decide which viruses are most likely to cause flu infections that year. The antigens, i.e. substances that cause the formation of protective antibodies against these viruses, are contained in the flu vaccine. Typically, the United States and Canada use the same flu vaccine, but they are not required to do so.
It is necessary to receive a flu vaccine shot every year because flu infections are usually caused by different types of viruses and the protection provided by the vaccine lasts less than a year.
Influenza is a viral infection of the throat, bronchi and lungs. It causes fever, chills, cough, headache, muscle aches, and pain in the back, arms, and legs. In addition, adults and children weakened by other illnesses or conditions, as well as people aged 50 and over, even if healthy, may develop a much more serious illness that may require hospital treatment. Every year thousands of people die as a result of a flu infection.
The best way to prevent flu infections is to get an annual flu shot, usually in early November. Vaccination (vaccination) against influenza is approved for infants 6 months and older, all children and all adults (including 65 years and older).
This vaccine should only be given by or under the direct supervision of your doctor or other health care professional.
Before using Fluvirin formula 2015-2016
When deciding whether to use a vaccine, the risks of vaccination must be weighed against the benefits it brings. This is a decision that you and your doctor will make. The following should be taken into account with this vaccine:
Allergies
Tell your doctor if you have ever had an unusual or allergic reaction to this medicine or any other medicines. Also tell your doctor if you have other allergies, such as to foods, dyes, preservatives or animals. For over-the-counter products, read the label or package ingredients carefully.

Safety and effectiveness have not been established.
geriatrics

No relevant studies have been conducted on the association of age with the effects of Fluzone® Intradermal or Fluzone® Intradermal Quadrivalent in the geriatric population. Safety and effectiveness have not been established.
Breastfeeding
There are insufficient studies in women to determine the risk to infants when using this drug while breast-feeding. Weigh the potential benefits against the potential risks before taking this medication while breastfeeding.
Drug interactions
Although certain medicines should not be used together at all, in other cases two different medicines can be used together, although interactions may occur. In these cases, your doctor may want to change the dose or other precautions may be necessary. If you are receiving this vaccine, it is especially important that your doctor knows if you are taking any of the medicines listed below. The following interactions were selected for their potential significance and are not necessarily exhaustive.
If you receive this vaccine with any of the following medicines, you may be at increased risk of certain side effects. However, using both medicines may be the best treatment for you. If both medicines are prescribed together, your doctor may change the dose or how often you use one or both medicines.
- Rituximab
Interactions with food/tobacco/alcohol
Certain medicines should not be taken during or near food or consumption of certain foods because interactions may occur. Consuming alcohol or tobacco with certain medications can also lead to interactions. Discuss using your medicine with food, alcohol or tobacco with your doctor.
Other medical problems
The presence of other medical problems may affect the use of this vaccine. Be sure to tell your doctor if you have any other medical problems, especially:

Proper use of Fluvirin 2015-2016 formula
A nurse or other trained health professional will give this vaccine to you or your child. It is given as an injection into one of your muscles or into your skin, usually the upper arm.
Sometimes there isn't enough flu vaccine for everyone. If this happens and you are a healthy adult, you may need to wait until the end of flu season before getting vaccinated.
You must get a flu shot every year to protect yourself from the flu.
Some children may need a second dose of the vaccine. If your child needs a second dose of the vaccine, it is very important that your child receives the second dose on time. If you have to cancel the appointment, arrange another appointment as soon as possible.
Fluzone® Intradermal Quadrivalent and Fluzone® Quadrivalent are supplied with a patient information leaflet. Read and follow these instructions carefully. If you have any questions, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Precautions When Using Fluvirin Formula 2015-2016
It is very important that your child comes to the doctor's office at the right time if your child needs a second dose of the vaccine. Be sure to tell your doctor about any side effects that occur after you or your child receives this vaccine.
This vaccine can cause a serious allergic reaction called anaphylaxis, which can be life-threatening and requires immediate medical attention. Tell your doctor immediately if you or your child experience rash, itching, hoarseness, difficulty breathing, difficulty swallowing, or swelling of your hands, face, or mouth after the injection.
Children who received a certain brand of flu vaccine (Afluria®, Afluria® Quadrivalent) developed fever and, in some cases, fever with seizures. Talk to your doctor if you have any concerns about this.
If you are very sick and have a high fever, you will probably need to wait until you are well before receiving this vaccine.
The flu vaccine may not protect everyone who receives it. It is not suitable for treating flu symptoms if you are already infected with the virus.
The tip cap of the prefilled syringe for certain brands of injections (Agriflu®, Flucelvax®, Fluvirin®, Fluzone®, Fluzone® High-Dose) contains dry natural rubber (a derivative of latex), which may cause an allergic reaction in people who are sensitive to latex. Tell your doctor if you or your child has a latex allergy before receiving this vaccine.
Tell your doctor if you or your child are taking any medicine or treatment that weakens your immune system, including steroid, radiation, or cancer treatments. This vaccine may not work as well if you also use these treatments. Your doctor may still want you to get the vaccine because it may provide you with some protection.
Fluvirin 2015-2016 Formula Side Effects
In 1976, several people who received the “swine flu” flu vaccine developed Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), a disease that can cause paralysis. Most of these people were over 25 years old. Although only 10 out of a million people who received the vaccine actually developed GBS, that number was six times higher than would normally be expected. Most people who got GBS made a full recovery.
The “swine flu” virus contained in the 1976 vaccine is believed to have caused the problem, but this has not been proven. Since then, studies have shown that the risk of getting GBS from a flu vaccine is very low (one in a million people).
In addition to the necessary effects, a medicine may also have some undesirable effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, medical attention may be required if they occur.
