Nasacort Allergy 24HR nasal side effects

Nasacort Allergy 24HR can cause serious side effects. Call your doctor immediately if you have:

  • fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms;

  • nosebleeds; or

  • blurred vision, tunnel vision, eye pain, or seeing halos around lights.

Nasacort Allergy 24HR can affect the growth of children. Tell your doctor if your child does not grow normally while using Nasacort Allergy 24HR.

Less serious side effects may be more likely, and you may not have any at all.

Warnings

Follow all instructions on the label and packaging of your medicine. Tell each of your healthcare providers about all your medical conditions, allergies and any medications you take.

Before you take this medicine

You should not use Nasacort Allergy 24HR if you are allergic to Nasacort Allergy 24HR.

Ask a doctor or pharmacist whether it is safe to use this medicine if you have ever had:

  • an eye infection;

  • glaucoma or cataracts;

  • ulcers in the nose; or

  • Surgery or injury to your nose.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, ask a doctor before using this medicine.

Nasacort Allergy 24HR should not be given to children under 2 years of age.

How should I use Nasacort Allergy 24HR nasally?

Use exactly as directed on the label or as prescribed by your doctor.

Do not take orally. Nasacort Allergy 24HR is for nasal use only.

Carefully read and follow all instructions for use that come with your medicine. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you do not understand these instructions.

Shake thatNasal spraygood just before each use. Before first use, prepare the nasal spray pump by spraying the medicine into the air until a fine mist is created. If the nasal spray has not been used for more than 2 weeks, prepare it by spraying the medicine into the air until a fine mist is formed.

Stop using Nasacort Allergy 24HR and call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after 7 days.

Do not share the nasal spray with other people or you could spread germs or illnesses.

Store at room temperature, protected from moisture and heat. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.

What happens if I miss a dose?

Use the medicine as soon as possible, but skip the missed dose if it is almost time for the next dose. Do not use two doses at the same time.

What happens if I overdose?

Seek emergency medical attention or call the Poison Help hotline at 1-800-222-1222.

An overdose of Nasacort Allergy 24HR nasal is not expected to result in life-threatening symptoms. However, long-term use of high doses of steroids may result in symptoms such as thinning skin, easy bruising, changes in the shape or location of body fat (particularly on the face, neck, back, and waist), increased acne, or facial hair. Menstrual cramps, impotence, or loss of interest in sex.

What should I avoid when using triamcinolone nasally?

Avoid getting Nasacort Allergy 24HR in your eyes.

Avoid being near sick or infected people. Call your doctor for preventive treatment if you are exposed to chickenpox or measles. These conditions can be serious or even fatal in people using Nasacort Allergy 24HR.

What other drugs will affect Nasacort Allergy 24HR nasal?

Consult a doctor or pharmacist before using Nasacort Allergy 24HR with other medications, especially:

  • Steroid medicines for asthma, allergies or rash.
