Before you take this medicine

You should not use pramoxine and zinc acetate topically if you are allergic to them.

Before using topical pramoxine and zinc acetate, consult a doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Do not use this medicine in children under 2 years of age without medical advice.

How should I use pramoxine and zinc acetate topically?

Use exactly as directed on the label or as prescribed by your doctor.

Do not take orally. Topical medicines should only be used on the skin.

Shake well before use.

Clean the affected area with soap and water and allow to dry before each use. Apply pramoxine and zinc acetate topically to affected skin up to three to four times daily.

Stop using pramoxine and zinc acetate topical and call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve within 7 days, if they worsen, or if they disappear and recur within a few days.

Store at room temperature, protected from moisture and heat.

What happens if I miss a dose?

Use the medicine as soon as possible, but skip the missed dose if it is almost time for the next dose. Do not apply two doses at the same time.

What happens if I overdose?

An overdose of pramoxine and zinc acetate for topical use is not expected to be dangerous. Seek emergency medical attention or call the Poison Help hotline at 1-800-222-1222 if someone accidentally swallows the medication.

What should I avoid when using pramoxine and zinc acetate topically?

Avoid getting pramoxine and zinc acetate topically in your eyes or mucous membranes.

What other drugs will affect topical use of pramoxine and zinc acetate?
