• unwanted facial hair growth;

• chest pain, fast heartbeat;

• swelling of the hands or feet, rapid weight gain;

• a light-headed feeling, as if you were going to faint;

• headache, dizziness, confusion; or

• Flushing (warmth, redness, or tingling).

Common side effects of Rogaine Men's Extra Strength may include:

• Changes in the color or texture of your hair.

Use only the Rogaine Men’s Extra Strength formula appropriate for your gender. Women should not use this medicine with products made specifically for men.

Ask a doctor or pharmacist if it is safe for you to use Rogaine Men's Extra Strength if you have other medical conditions, especially:

• heart disease.

How should I use Rogaine Men’s Extra Strength?

Use exactly as directed on the label or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use in larger or smaller quantities or for longer than recommended.

Taking more of this medicine than recommended will not speed up hair growth and may cause dangerous side effects.

This medicine comes with patient instructions for safe and effective use. Follow these instructions carefully. If you have any questions, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Dry your hair and scalp before applying Rogaine Men's Extra Strength.

Apply the recommended amount to the affected areas of the scalp. Rogaine Men’s Extra Strength is typically used twice daily, morning and evening.

Wash your hands after applying Rogaine Men’s Extra Strength.

Use Rogaine Men’s Extra Strength only on your scalp. Do not use on other parts of the body.

It may take up to 4 months or longer before you notice new hair growth. New hair can be soft, colorless and barely visible. With further treatment, the hair should be the same color and thickness as your existing hair.

Talk to your doctor if you do not notice hair growth after 4 months of treatment.

Store at room temperature, protected from moisture and heat.

Keep the Rogaine Men's Extra Strength Foam Canister away from open flames or intense heat, such as in a car on a hot day. The canister may explode if it gets too hot. Do not puncture or burn an empty canister.

What happens if I miss a dose?

Use the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for the next dose. Do not take extra medicine to make up for a missed dose.

What happens if I overdose?

An overdose of Rogaine Men's Extra Strength is not expected to be dangerous. Seek emergency medical attention or call the Poison Help hotline at 1-800-222-1222 if someone accidentally swallows the medication.

What should I avoid when using minoxidil topically?

Avoid getting Rogaine Men's Extra Strength in the eyes, nose or mouth. If this occurs, rinse the area with water.

Avoid using other skin products on the areas you are treating with Rogaine Men's Extra Strength unless directed to do so by your doctor.

What other drugs will affect Rogaine Men's Extra Strength?

Other medications you take orally or inject are unlikely to have an effect on topically applied minoxidil. But many medications can interact with each other. Tell each of your healthcare providers about all medications you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and herbal products.
