What is Remular-S?

Side effects of Remular-S

If necessary, get emergency medical helpSigns of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; Swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Remular-S can cause serious side effects. Stop using Remular-S and call your doctor immediately if you have:

  • a light-headed feeling, as if you were going to faint;

  • rash, itching or redness;

  • Liver problems - stomach pain (top right), loss of appetite, vomiting, fever, unusual tiredness, dark urine or jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes); or

  • Signs of stomach bleeding – bloody or tarry stools, coughing up blood, or vomit that looks like coffee grounds.

Common side effects of Remular-S may include:

  • Sleepiness;

  • Dizziness; or

  • general malaise.

Warnings

Follow all instructions on the label and packaging of your medicine. Tell each of your healthcare providers about all your medical conditions, allergies and any medications you take.

Before you take this medicine

You should not use Remular-S if you are allergic to it.

Tell your doctor if you have ever had:

  • Liver disease.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Remular-S is not approved for use by anyone under 18 years of age.

How should I take Remular-S?

Follow all instructions on your prescription label and read any medication guides or instructions for use. Your doctor may occasionally change your dose. Use the medicine exactly as directed.

Recular-S is usually taken three to four times daily. Follow your doctor's dosage instructions very carefully.

Reular-S is just one part of a complete treatment program, which may also include rest, physical therapy, or other pain-relieving measures. Follow your doctor's instructions.

Store at room temperature, protected from moisture and heat.

What happens if I miss a dose?

Take the medicine as soon as possible, but skip the missed dose if it is almost time for the next dose. Do not take two doses at the same time.

What happens if I overdose?

Seek emergency medical attention or call the Poison Help hotline at 1-800-222-1222.

Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, severe sleepiness, headache, muscle weakness, shallow breathing, or fainting.

What should I avoid while taking Remular-S?

Drinking alcohol with Remular-S can have side effects.

Avoid driving and dangerous activities until you know how this medicine affects you. Your reactions may be affected.

What other drugs affect Remular-S?

Using Remular-S with other medications that make you sleepy may worsen this effect. Consult your doctor before taking opioid medications, sleeping pills, muscle relaxants, or anti-anxiety or seizure medications.

Other medications can affect Remular-S, including prescription and over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and herbal products. Tell your doctor about all medications you are currently taking and any medications you are taking or stopping.
