Rixubis is given as an infusion into a vein. A doctor will give you the first dose and may teach you how to properly use the medication yourself.
Carefully read and follow all instructions for use that come with your medicine. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you do not understand all the instructions.
Rixubis must be mixed with a liquid (diluent) before use. If you are administering injections yourself, make sure you know how to properly mix and store the medicine.
The mixture should appear clear, yellow or colorless. Do not prepare an injection until you are ready to give it. Do not use if the medicine looks cloudy, has changed color, or contains particles. Call your pharmacist for a new medicine.
Stir the medicine gently, but do not shake it while mixing or it may ruin it. Use the injection within 3 hours of mixing your dose.
