Uses for Urised
This medicine is only available with a doctor's prescription.
Before using Urised
When deciding whether to use a medicine, the risks of taking the medicine must be weighed against the benefits it produces. This is a decision that you and your doctor will make. The following should be noted with this medicine:
Allergies
Tell your doctor if you have ever had an unusual or allergic reaction to this medicine or any other medicines. Also tell your doctor if you have other allergies, such as to foods, dyes, preservatives or animals. For over-the-counter products, read the label or package ingredients carefully.
Pediatrics
Unusual excitement, nervousness, restlessness or irritability, as well as unusual warmth, dryness and flushing of the skin are more common in children, who are usually more sensitive to the effects of atropine and hyoscyamine (contained in this combination medicine). Even if atropine and hyoscyamine are given to children in hot weather, a rapid increase in body temperature may occur. This medicine may be more likely to cause serious side effects in infants and children, especially those with spastic paralysis or brain damage.
geriatrics
Confusion or memory loss, constipation, difficulty urinating, agitation, restlessness, sleepiness, or dry mouth may occur more frequently in older patients, who are usually more sensitive to the effects of atropine and hyoscyamine than younger adults. Additionally, this combination medicine may cause eye pain in patients with untreated glaucoma.
Breastfeeding
Benzoic acid
Studies in women suggest that this medication poses minimal risk to the infant when used during breastfeeding.
Methylene bluemethenamineatropinehyoscyamine
There are insufficient studies in women to determine the risk to infants when using this drug while breast-feeding. Weigh the potential benefits against the potential risks before taking this medication while breastfeeding.
Drug interactions
Although certain medicines should not be used together at all, in other cases two different medicines can be used together, although interactions may occur. In these cases, your doctor may want to change the dose or other precautions may be necessary. If you are taking this medicine, it is particularly important that your doctor knows whether you are taking any of the medicines listed below. The following interactions were selected for their potential significance and are not necessarily exhaustive.

Correct use of Urised
While you are taking this combination medicine, it is important that your urine is acidic. To achieve this, your doctor may recommend that you eat more protein and foods such as cranberries (especially cranberry juice with added vitamin C), prunes, or prunes. You should avoid foods that make urine more alkaline, such as most fruits (especially citrus fruits and juices), milk, and other dairy products.
Only take this medicine as directed. Do not take more of it, do not take it more often, or take it for longer than your doctor prescribed. This may increase the risk of side effects.
Each dose should be taken with a full glass (8 ounces) of water or other liquid (except citrus juices and milk). Drink plenty of water or other fluids every day unless your doctor tells you otherwise. Drinking enough fluids can help your kidneys work better and relieve your symptoms.
To help your infection heal completely, continue taking this medicine throughout your treatment, even if you feel better after a few days. Don't miss a dose.
For this medicine to work well, your urine must be acidic (pH 5.5 or lower). To make sure your urine is acidic:

Precautions when using Urised
If your symptoms do not improve within a few days or worsen, contact your doctor.
These medicines may cause you to sweat less and your body temperature to rise. While taking this medication, take special care not to overheat during exercise or in hot weather, as overheating can lead to heat stroke. Additionally, hot baths or saunas while taking this medication may cause dizziness or fainting.
This medicine may cause blurred vision in some people. Make sure you know how you react to this medicine before driving, operating machinery, or doing other activities that could be dangerous if you cannot see well. If your vision continues to be blurry, contact your doctor.
This medicine may cause dry mouth. For temporary relief, you can use sugar-free candies or gum, melt ice pieces in your mouth, or use a saliva substitute. However, if your mouth continues to feel dry for more than two weeks, contact your dentist. Persistent dry mouth can increase the risk of dental disease, including tooth decay, gum disease, and fungal infections.
Do not take this medicine within 2 to 3 hours of taking antacids or diarrhea medications. Taking antacids or antidiarrheals at the same time as this medicine may prevent this medicine from working properly.
