New fitness equipment for mental health: Fundraiser excited!
The varisano mental health clinic has an exciting new addition: new fitness equipment, which was made possible by a generous donation of around 10,000 euros from the Förderkreis des Klinikum Frankfurt Höchst e.V.! This support provides a breath of fresh air in exercise therapy and gives patients new opportunities to actively promote their health.
Uwe Serke, the chairman of the support group, and his deputy Dr. med. Harald Hake recently inspected the new training options. Prof. Dr. med. Sibylle Roll, the clinic's chief physician, emphasizes the importance of exercise for mental health: "We have known for a long time that exercise and strength training contribute to mental health." The clinic has expanded its range of therapies so that patients can take part in various activities every day under expert guidance, including ball sports, cross training and Nordic walking. These measures take place both in the large sports hall and in the clinic's sheltered garden.
Thanks to the support group
The head physician thanked the support group on behalf of the entire clinic team for their valuable support. Uwe Serke added: "We are pleased that we were able to take on a supporting role in the implementation of the extended movement therapy. This not only helps the patients, but also the clinical team." The support group, which was founded in 2012 by committed citizens and hospital representatives, has set itself the goal of making patients' stay as pleasant as possible and promoting recovery through targeted equipment.
