Offenburg focuses on children and health: funding for exciting projects!
The city of Offenburg has launched an initiative to promote projects for children, teenagers and young adults. How bo.de reports, the motto for 2025 is “Find your balance”. The focus is on prevention and health promotion, with the aim of creating a balance between mental, physical and social health.
The funded projects should deal with topics such as peace and activity, self-care and community as well as the digital and real world. Events and campaigns that take up the motto can be submitted. Some examples of this are offers for stress management, promoting exercise and media literacy.
Funding conditions and application
The projects can be implemented both in fixed groups and as open events. Cooperations with schools in Offenburg are also possible. The maximum funding is 500 euros per project, with the application deadline set for March 1, 2025. Further information is available from the child and youth work department heads or from Anja Fuchs on 0781/822765.
Additionally, in another report by leitterme.bzga.de Reference is made to the general guidelines for health promotion in child and youth welfare facilities. These aspects are closely linked to the promotion of social inequality, inclusion and social space orientation. Health promotion is viewed as a component of child and youth welfare (KJH) and includes prevention and disease prevention.
The KJH aims to enable young people to grow up successfully and to promote integration. Among other things, low-threshold, life-world orientation and participation are of great importance. KJH specialists are required to actively respond to the health needs of children and families and to create the appropriate framework conditions for them to grow up healthy.
